Trend One: Build The Sales Funnel, Social Is Only One Piece
Often we see our customers’ journey to purchase as a straight line. Traditionally the sales funnel was shallow, now it is far deeper and more complex. Social media is one aspect of it as Chris Campbell, CEO of ReviewTrackers explains
“Social media is a piece of the customer journey, and rarely is it going to be a straight line from social awareness to customer. Social is used as a part of a customer’s research process; it’s a touchpoint that takes them through the buying funnel.”
The more clarity you have on what this journey looks like for your customer, the easier you can make it for them to choose you. Integrating your social media feeds into a customer relationship management (CRM) system is the only way to know how effective your social media marketing is and quantify the return on your investment.
