The fifth PADCA JLS mile went off splendidly at Maritzburg College today with over 500 participants. Sponsored once again by J Leslie Smith & Company Inc, the morning boasted a load of fun activities and encouraged camaraderie amongst the seniors of Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas. The day promotes active ageing regardless of physical ability and every effort was made to ensure everyone was included. In addition to the 7km, 3.5km and 1km walks around Alexandra Park, there was a tea garden, good music and giant garden games all contributing to a great vibe.
The IMS team, including our fur-members, had a fantastic morning out and thoroughly enjoyed the event! It was wonderful to see the seniors of PMB having such fun!
Well the 2017 PADCA JLS Mile is over & everyone can look forward to the AGM – and you thought we would sit back and relax for a bit. Looking back at this years Mile I get the feeling it was the slickest, most organised, best attended and possible most enjoyed one yet. If we are to keep it at this level we will need to continue being innovative. The IMS team plays a key role in this process by injecting your energy and dynamic ideas into PADCA.
